This is an auction catalog that was prepared in conjunction with the exhibition and auction held from January 24 through 31, 1981 at Sotheby's York Avenue Galleries. This catalog contains photographs and descriptions of each of the 172 samplers held in the Kapnek collection. In addition, the realized prices of more than 30 of the samplers have been penciled in.
