The Quaker Tapestry Guide in Colour

The Quaker Tapestry is a unified crewel embroidery of seventy-seven separate panels that celebrate the spiritual insights that have motivated the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) since it was founded by George Fox in 1652. Largely influenced by the Bayeux Tapestry, a teacher, Anne Wynn-Wilson, developed this "craft project" that could be shared between groups of Friends in widely scattered areas of the country. Its purpose would be to teach the story of Quakerism. This book includes a fascinating look at the Quakers and their history and an in-depth analysis of the panels and their meanings.
